Steve and Kathy Barber, 10/03/2005 - I just wanted to express my appreciation for such a nice, clean and beautiful park. We don't have many of these types of parks within the northern California region. My wife and I found your park about 3 years ago, and have enjoyed staying there as often as possible. The park is perfect for "Big Rigs", great location, beautiful surroundings and wonderful people that greet you and make sure you're stay is everything you want it to be. The location is convenient to Lake Shasta, the surrounding mountains and the Sacramento River. It is always a pleasure to call and make reservations, your staff and everyone that answers the phone and greets everyone are pleasant and always "bend over backwards" to help and accommodate everyone. We enjoy the new solar heated pool, the clean restrooms with showers and the Wi-Fi. You have done a terrific job and I can always count on the same great service and friendly atmosphere.

Lynne and Ron Curry, 3/31/04 -
We think JGW RV Park sets a new standard for RV Parks and give it a 10 rating in cleanliness, picturesque setting, and well designed campsites. Your rates are also reasonable, your sites are easy to get into, and now with Wi-Fi, you have definitely provided a valuable service. We wish there were more parks of your caliber. |

Darin and Carol, 3/18/04 - It has taken us a year to write this little note...but now is better than never.
And you can just imagine our suprise when we first came upon your lovely park. You don't find many "beautiful, well cared for, clean, amenity filled" rv resorts..but..we did when we stopped along 1-5 on our way home from southern California last March.
And now to hear that you you have wireless internet...We (as owner's of Granite Lake RV Resort in Clarkston, Wa) have another great park to recommend. |

Tom, 3/12/04 - Thx for the nice place to stay on the return trip. We DO think we're going to put you folks up into our "Top Picks" category. B/cause of lots of reader comments of interest, we'll probably have to mention highway noise -- but that's only a slight distraction. Actually no more than one highly rated park in the Palm Springs area that's a $45/night stop. The Wi Fi (which by the way is the fastest we've seen at any park) is such a great plus. We'll be featuring that on our pages soon. Thx for being such a nice park for folks traveling I-5. I know we'll be back soon... Tom BTW -- I finally got your URL, so we updated your reference on our top page at the website so our readers can go directly to your website. Tom@rversonline.org -- http://www.rversonline.org |

Stephanie
& Tom, 1/12/2004 - .....Being married to a computer "nut",
I shouldn't have been surprised when he opted for another new, wireless
park. JGW RV park is situated about 6 miles south of Redding, right on
the Sacramento River, and, in summer, should be a great favorite with
fishermen and boaters. Its level, landscaped sites are suitable for the
biggest rigs. There's a large doggy walk area, and a "people walk"
follows the perimeter of the park. A definite "return-to" spot.

DeutscheMan,

beautiful and pristine! Excellent facilities and excellent sites! Highly
recommend it. |

Tommy & Lori, 1/11/2004
- JGW RV Park in Redding. Beautifully maintained. Large spacious sites.
Some with Sacramento River view. Some instant phone sites too. Nice family
owned park. |
 |
Ray, IN, 1/11/2004 - South of Redding,
CA on I5 is JGW RV park; new, flat, clean, quiet, reasonable. |
 |
RVers Online - JGW RV
Park is Redding's newest park, and nicely situated along the Sacramento
River approximately six miles south of Redding (Knighton Road). All sites
are spacious, well landscaped, and offer full ameneties. Big rigs need
fear no obstacles here, and will have plenty of space to park in the long,
paved pull throughs. As a special bonus for a growing number of our readers,
the park offers free high speed wireless internet access. The park was
called to our attention by one of our regular readers, who especially
appreciated the warm, friendly reception he received from the park owners/managers.
We agree, and as we do our annual review of recommended parks this one
is likely to become a "top pick". (01/04) |

Great overnight spot right off I-5!
Brand new park that is family owned and operarted by a very nice manager
couple. He showed me to the site which was right on the Sacramento River.
Sites are cement and grass with new landscaping. We camped here in a Travel
Trailer in 2003` |

Carol &
Dale Bradley, 11/02/2002 - We located 6 miles south of Redding Ca. in
JGW RV Park. We were assigned a 65 foot pull-thru. Just what Dale wanted.
This place is a 5 star campground, right next to the Sacramento river.

2003 return
visitors to the park: ....."The things we like about your park are:
the friendly owners, the spacious sites with concrete pads, 50-amp service,
lawns, concrete tables and benches, and extra parking space. We also enjoy
the riverfront park under the oak trees, and the doggie run. We like the
feeling of safety and cleanliness provided by your park with it's paved
roadways, clean laundry room, and locked restroom doors. And most of all,
we enjoy the views of the river, wildlife and fowl, and the mountains,
expecially Lassen and Shasta. Everywhere we go, we tell people about the
JGW RV Park and encourage them to try it while traveling through Redding,
CA." |

Couples from site 62
and site 44 sent the following note in 2003: "We just wanted to take
the time to write you a little note to say how much we enjoyed staying
at your fabulous RV Park. The sites, the landscaping, the great dog run
area, etc., were all first rate. AND-- those restrooms-Immaculate! Those
showers-spacious and awesome! You guys have truly done, and are still
doing a great job. All the hard work really shows. It was a pleasure to
stay at JGW; and rest assured, we will return! Thanks again." |

Pioneer Press, Ft. Jones/Etna,
CA. 2002 article -- Anita and Dave Butler... "stayed for four
days and watched a pair of Canadian geese and their goslings, that called
the river their home. They also got to watch nine white cranes coming
in to nest in the trees across the river about 8:30 each night. It seems
that fresh water otters also gave them a show and so did the fish that
were jumping in front of their campsite. They said that they would definitely
give this place a "thumbs up". |
